Summer Camp has begun!

Today we had a great start to another year of Grace and Peace summer camp. It is wonderful to reconnect with old friends and welcome new ones. We are so blessed to have our friends from Northern Ireland back with us again serving for a third year!

This year for the daily camp updates we will be sharing camper profiles. You will get to know some of our campers a little better and be able to pray specifically that day for them, their counselors and the group they are in.

Meet Samiyah! She is in the red group, our youngest group of campers led by counselors Matthew, Jemma, and Claire A. This is Samiyah's first year at camp and she is so excited to be a part of it!

Age: 5
Group: Red
Favorite color: Blue and Purple
Favorite food: Oodles of Noodles
Favorite class at camp: "I really liked the Bible class because we got to dress up! I got to be a cow girl and I really like cow girls."
Future occupation: "I think I'd like to be a cow girl because I had a lot of fun dressing up like one."
Favorite activity: "I love playing tag with my friends because it's fun to run around."
Place you would like to travel to: "I'd like to walk to the pool, because it's fun to go swimming there!"
Something that makes you happy: "Playing with my toys with my friends makes me happy."
Something that you've learned about Jesus: "He loved to help people and he helped a lot of people all the time."
Something you are looking forward to at camp: "I'm happy to be here and learn things and have fun with my group."

Please remember to pray for Samiyah, the red group and their counselors!

" At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
“Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."  Matthew 18:1-6"
